Swamini Lalitananda (Mataji), A Sri Vidya Upasaka, is visiting us from Atma Vidya Ashram, Bangalore, India.
For the pooja, we chant Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam with Samputikaranam. After each verse (two lines) we chant “Katyayanaya Vidmahe Kanyakumari Dheemahi, Tanno Durgi Prachodayat”. Everybody can personally participate in this pooja. S/he will be provided with a printed picture and other worship articles as required.

Visiting Priest
Pt. Raman Vadyar is serving as our visiting priest. Pt. Raman hails from Tamil Nadu, and is a Rig Veda specialist, trained in a traditional south Indian Patasala. He has been serving as a temple priest both in India and the US over the last thirty years. Pt. Raman is also adept in Sri Vidya and all Shakta pujas. Panditji is also available to perform all samskaras, either at temple or at home. Please contact the temple if you wish to arrange a personal puja.
VEDIC CHANTING PRACTICE AND INSTRUCTION: Saturdays 5 to 6 pm. Learn to chant the Rudram and other Suktams. All welcome! Free.
MEDITATION HALL. Our main hall is now available for silent meditation, with japa malas, mantra cards, and instructions for you to use at your convenience.
FREE YOGA CLASSES: Free yoga classes are being offered at the temple at the following days and times:
- Wednesday evenings from 7-8 pm and Sunday mornings from 8-9 am — Kundalini Yoga taught by Arthisre Siddheswaran of Universal Peace Foundation.
TEMPLE NEEDS the following items on a continuing basis: Flowers and fruits (daily); rose water, Ganga jal, milk, juice, and honey for abhishekams (all items must be new and unused), large containers of sesame oil for lamps. If you are going to India and would like to bring something back for the temple, please bring: silk saris with good borders, especially red color; large packages of YELLOW scented Chandanam (sandalwood) powder for puja, silver kalasams for abhishekam, silver plates/cups for deities. Please DO NOT bring: used, opened, or discarded items, old puja things from your house that you don’t want anymore; foodstuffs other than rice. We DO NOT need ghee, dal, atta, vegetables. You are welcome to prepare prasadams at home without garlic or onions, to bring to offer to the deities and share with devotees.
VOLUNTEERS needed: The temple needs volunteers who would be able to be in the temple during any of the following times: Mondays and Fridays between 1 and 5 pm, weeknights between 5 and 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 and 5 pm, or 5 to 8 pm.
